360 Excavator - Experienced Operator

Course Description

The Experienced Operator Course for 360 Excavator is a comprehensive one-day program designed to provide experienced construction plant operators with recognition and certification for their skills, knowledge, and attitudes associated with plant operations.

The course begins with registration and induction, ensuring participants are familiarized with the training environment and objectives. Candidates will then engage in a 3-hour corrective training session with the course instructor, addressing specific areas for improvement.

Following the corrective training, candidates will undergo a theory test. This 45-minute, multi-choice question paper covers a wide range of subjects, including:

legislation

- Responsibilities

- Safe practices

- Machine components

- Operating techniques

- Pre-use checks

- Maintenance

- Road travel

- Materials and loads

- construction safety, and shutdown procedures.

The questions are aligned with the content covered during the corrective training.

 

During the practical test, candidates will demonstrate their proficiency in operating the 360 excavator. They will be evaluated on their ability to complete designated tasks within the given time frame, showcasing their competence in handling the plant equipment effectively and safely.

Upon meeting the required standard, NCTS Ltd will provide candidates with relevant assessment documentation for certification and registration with Solas.

Candidates with specific assessment requirements, such as translation or special assistance, are encouraged to inform NCTS Ltd in advance to ensure appropriate accommodations are made with the utmost confidentiality.

With a duration of one day, this course equips experienced operators with the necessary certification and recognition, demonstrating their competence and proficiency in safely operating a 360 excavator in a construction environment.

Requirements:

1.  Have at least six months full time construction experience operating the item of Plant. The six months experience must be within a two year period.

2.  Be at least 18 years of age.

3.  Have undertaken Safety Awareness Training including the following: Employees duties/responsibilities, Health and Hygiene, traffic management, site specific hazards / safety
