Course Description

The Working at Heights course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely carry out work at height activities.

Work at height refers to any work performed in a location where there is a risk of injury from falling, whether it is above, at, or below ground level. This course emphasizes the importance of understanding and implementing proper safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries in such environments.

During the course, participants will learn about the various work activities that fall under the classification of working at height. Examples include working on:

- Trestles

- Flat roofs

- Ladders

- And even at ground level adjacent to an excavation or fragile materials.

The aim is to equip individuals with the knowledge and techniques needed to mitigate risks associated with these tasks.

 

The course content is designed to meet the requirements set by the Work at Height Regulations. Employers have an obligation to ensure that all work at height is properly planned, organized, and assessed for risks. The course covers the importance of conducting thorough risk assessments for all work conducted at height and provides guidance on selecting and using appropriate work equipment.
